The Northwest’s premiere outdoor music and performing arts festival presents world-class jazz, folk, country, pop, and classical artists, along with dance, comedy, and musical theater. The educational wing of Britt, called Britt Institute, includes summer camps, an elementary music listening program, and free recitals throughout the summer. The festival runs June-September. The Britt Pavilion, where most concerts occur, is located two blocks from downtown Jacksonville. October 7-9, 2005 - The 17th Annual Medford Jazz Jubilee This festival brings live traditional jazz music to Medford each year. Dixieland, swing, zydeco and blues artists are scheduled to perform the second Saturday of October.


Rogue Valley Symphonic Band

The Rogue Valley Symphonic Band, directed by Dr. Martin Behnke, is a select group of some of the best musicians from the Rogue River Valley area of Southern Oregon and Northern California. It is an all-volunteer community band striving to present excellent performances of some of the finest literature for concert band/wind ensemble available. Concerts are often scheduled at area schools, usually in conjunction with the school's band(s) to demonstrate to the students that there is indeed musical "life" after high school/college. Visit often to keep current with our concert schedule.

Rogue Opera presents full-scale productions each year. During the winter season, the opera tours regionally with its Programs For Youth, presenting opera performances to approximately 10,000 school-aged children.


Rogue Valley Chorale

The oldest public choral organization. Founded in 1973 by a group of local musicians who wanted to provide a forum for performing fine choral music. Since that time the group has grown in number and musical stature.  The Chorale presents an annual series of concerts for audiences and performers. It preserves choral tradition, fosters musical growth and vocal improvement, provides educational outreach, and shares the excitement and joy of singing.  The Chorale Association includes both adult singers and Youth Choruses.

Southern Oregon Concert Band

The 68-member concert band is comprised of musicians from 11 communities. The ensemble rehearses Tuesday evenings from September-June. Concerts are presented at various venues in the Rogue Valley.
