Cowboy
Junkies / Joan Osborne
Whether playing blues, country or rock, Cowboy Junkies always remain true
to their unique artistic vision and the introspective, quiet intensity of sound that is
their trademark. Their latest album released this spring titled At the End of Paths
Taken is a suite of smart, richly textured songs that value subtlety over broad,
generic strokes, songs that prize insight and casual revelations over easily digestible
clichés.
Joan Osborne had one of the biggest releases of the mid-90s with Relish
and participated in the historic and successful Lilith Fair Tour. She has worked with a
myriad of artists like Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, The Chieftains and Bonnie Raitt. She
toured with The Dead in the summer of 2004 and recently finished a tour with Phil Lesh
& Friends. A premier vocalist and songwriter, Osborne released her latest album Pretty
Little Things in the fall of 2006. It highlights the soulful sound of Joan Osborne
with elements of country blues and Americana.
