Moby Dick Rehearsed Its an unbeatable
combination: one of Americas greatest novels (Moby Dick), adapted by one of
Americas greatest artistic geniuses (Orson Welles), performed by Americas most
acclaimed touring repertory theater (The Acting Company). Moby Dick Rehearsed is a
gripping play-within-a-play, in which a tyrannical actor-manager orders his actors,
expecting to rehearse another play, to perform the story of Moby Dick casting
himself as the obsessed Captain Ahab. Unfolding on a relatively bare stage and using
minimal props, Moby Dick Rehearsed packs its dramatic punch through powerful acting,
beautiful language, and the tragic grandeur of Ahabs crazed, vindictive quest for
the great white whale. As legendary critic Kenneth Tynan exclaimed, with Moby Dick
Rehearsed, the theatre once more becomes a place of magic.

Sockdology
Camelot's first main stage show was the Finalist for the American
Theatre Critics Association/Steinberg New Play Award for 1999, Jeffrey Hatcher's "
Sockdology." Playing February 6 through March 2, "Sockdology" (a
knockout punch) takes place on the night in 1865 when President Lincoln was shot as he was
attending a performance of " Our American Cousin" at
Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. After shooting the President, John Wilkes Booth jumped
to the stage and fled. "Sockdology," a dark comedy, attempts to answer the
question, "What happened next?"
