While in Medford hit the road and discover southern Oregon.  Around every corner is a new adventure just waiting to be explored.  Think of Medford as your starting point, the center to many great day trips.

Need some suggestions:

Day 1  - Visit southern Oregon with award winning wines, the best blue cheese in the world, chocolates, world-renown live theatre, historic towns and the awe-inspiring natural splendor of Crater Lake National Park.  Discover our friendly Oregon lifestyle – its great food, excellent lodgings, and warm hospitality – and shopping with no sales tax!  For this segment of the tour use the hub and spoke approach.  Medford is the hub and the following attractions are the spokes to a wide variety of delightful and interesting travel adventures.  Harry & David the world's largest gourmet fruit and food gift company. Dogs for the Deaf tour and see how these rescued dogs are to act as the eyes and the ears of people who have hearing deficiencies.  Jacksonville the first place gold was discovered in Oregon, and is one of only eight cities in the United States named as a National Historic Landmark. On returning to Medford sample the best bleu cheese in the world at Rogue Creamery or savor one of the region’s popular wineries RoxyAnn Winery or Eden Valley Winery. In Ashland enjoy a special behind-the-scenes look at the Tony Award-winning with Oregon Shakespeare Festival 11 plays (not all by Shakespeare) recognized as one of the premiere theatre companies in the US or enjoy dinner or dessert only at the Oregon Cabaret while watching a musical revue and comedy housed in an elegant nightclub setting in a magnificently restored Baptist church.

Day 2 - On the way to Crater Lake stop at Butte Creek Mill, a wonderful water powered flour grist mill the last original operational water-powered grist mill in the US. Then onto Mill Creek Falls, plunging 174 feet into the Rogue River, the Natural Bridge and see the Rogue River swallowed by an underground maze of lava tubes then re-emerge in two gushing torrents downstream or Rogue Gorge Trail and stop at the viewpoint parking lot located just off Hwy. 62 less than ¼ mile north of the Union Creek Resort across from Beckie’s Cafe and see the Rogue River thundering through deep, narrow chasms under a canopy of conifers, all within easy walking distance to the parking lot.  Continue north to Crater Lake to view the deepest, bluest lake in North America.

Rafting - the Rogue River can be experienced on a self-guided rafting trip or outfitters are ready to provide a guided trip down the river from a mellow scenic river float trip to pulse-pounding whitewater workout and glimpse and eagle or otter.  Whatever the choice it will be a memorable river experience.
